I would recommend that everyone read Stephen Lewis' Race against time.

A general interest book that I'd recommend is Doug Keeley's The Mark of a leader (Inspiring stories of ordinary people who have done extraordinary things). The author believes everyone has a story to tell. I think the cover is pretty cool.

My guilty pleasure is horror, in particular, anything written by Clive Barker.
